KRISTIN MACK DEUBER, APR, Account Manager

 

As a journalism major at The Ohio State University, Kristin learned early-on the impact an effective story can have on an organization’s reputation—and what can go wrong when companies aren’t transparent.

Now with more than 20 years of experience, coupled with calm under pressure and a knack for strategic, big-picture thinking, Kristin consults with a variety of clients from international companies to startups and nonprofits.

Her award-winning work includes the development of thought leadership, media relations, internal communications and community relations campaigns. In recent years, Kristin has developed deep-seeded expertise in the healthcare industry, serving a variety of local and national brands, including Quantum Health, OhioHealth, Rx-360, Ohio Masonic Home, InXite Health Systems, Sickweather and Oncology Hematology Care. She also acts as Approach’s resident crisis communications specialist.

Her rise in the industry has been nothing less than impressive—from earning an Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) and an MBA to serving as president of her local Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) chapter. Kristin had a lengthy tenure as Vice President of one of the Midwest’s leading PR firms and sat on the boards of the PRSA Health Academy, Central Ohio Diabetes Association and the local chapter of the Healthcare Business Women’s Association.

Kristin has also helped shape the hearts and minds of future PR pros through her role as an adjunct professor at OSU, Ohio Dominican University and Franklin University.

Kristin holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Franklin University and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism degree from The Ohio State University.
