As a business owner, local water safety expert and mother, Lisa is a vocal advocate for year-round water safety, and regularly speaks with community organizations, business groups, scout troops, media outlets and blogs about the topic. This is a huge passion for Lisa and a primary reason the business is so engrained in the communities it serves.

Director of Social Media, Nationwide Insurance

Dace de la Foret is an award-winning communicator with more than a decade of experience managing corporate reputation. He is the director of social media for Nationwide where he is responsible for building and managing Nationwide’s digital brand. He began his career in television news before moving into public relations where he has led agency and in-house corporate communications teams.

KRISTIN MACK DEUBER
Public Relations and Marketing Consultant, Approach Marketing

As one of Approach Marketing’s most experienced team members, Kristin consults on a wide range of public relations and marketing accounts, offering services including crisis communications, media relations, thought leadership programs, executive communications, social media programs and community relations. During Kristin’s career, she has developed, managed and implemented public relations program for clients ranging from non-profit organizations to Fortune 500 companies, with deep expertise in the health care industry.

With a career spanning roles in the fields of law, communications and philanthropy, and a current position as Corporate Counsel for Fortune 500 retailer Big Lots Stores, Robin Grant offers valuable and relatable insight into the legal side of crisis situations. In her current role at Big Lots Stores, Robin counsels the company’s IT and HR departments, manages its immigration work, drafts and negotiates business contracts, and advises the business on a litany of retail, e-commerce and consumer protection legal questions.

Brand Journalist, Mikaela Media LLC

A journalist at-heart, Mikaela witnessed firsthand the shift towards digital while in the business of breaking news. After spending nearly 17 years in TV news in every seat from producer to anchor, she knows that to thrive in this new world, all brands and companies must embrace their story. A self-proclaimed “Social Media Butterfly,” Mikaela has developed a talent for conversation marketing, creating communication between audiences and brands via social media and other online engagement. 

JEFF KANE
Marketing Consultant

For the past fifteen years, Jeff Kane has worked on the McDonald’s brand in Ohio and Kentucky, both for McDonald’s corporate and McDonald’s largest local Advertising Agency Moroch Partners, and he brings extensive, front line experience interfacing with clients. Most recently Jeff has been working on a Mobile Delivery Program Launch (partnering with UberEATS, GrubHub and DoorDash) for a Consumer Food and Beverage Brand. The Delivery business presents one of the biggest changes and challenges in the history of the restaurant industry and is critical for the success of brands moving forward in this highly competitive environment.
