MY APPROACH TO VISUAL STORYTELLING—whether through photography, graphic design and art direction—is to make true and meaningful connections with people. I believe we all have something important to share.

AMY CARRUTHERS, Visual Strategist

These days, the term creative tends to get thrown around a lot. But make no mistake: Amy Carruthers is the real deal.

Having spent the past 15 years honing her skills in the visual arts, marketing, communications, branding and content development, Amy brings experience as a former small business owner as well as a nonprofit marketing manager to her role as Approach's visual strategist.

From photography to graphic design to content creation and beyond, she will uncover the heart of your brand—eliciting authentic emotion and driving audiences to action.

Prior to joining the Approach team, Amy supported all marketing efforts for Flying Horse Farms, a camp that provides transformative experiences for children with serious illnesses and their families.

Under her direction, the organization established itself as a visual storytelling leader within the SeriousFun Children's Network, a global group of camps established by legendary actor and philanthropist Paul Newman.

After studying fine art photography at the Savannah College of Art and Design, Amy founded C Studios, one of central Ohio's premier upscale wedding and event photography companies.

Known for her ability to tell genuine and inspiring stories through imagery, Amy produced work for individuals, agencies, nonprofits and more—and was regularly featured in publications such as Style Me Pretty, The Knot, The Bride and Bloom, Columbus Bride and Capital Style Bride.
