Visual Strategist, Approach Marketing
Amy Carruthers has spent more than a decade honing her skills in the visual arts, marketing, communications, brand development and social/digital media management. Amy followed her heart specifically into the nonprofit sector—and carried years of marketing and brand strategy with her.
Before joining the Approach Marketing team, she served as marketing manager for Flying Horse Farms, an Ohio camp that provides transformative experiences for children with serious illnesses and their families. Under Amy's creative direction, Flying Horse Farms established itself as a visual storytelling leader within the SeriousFun Children's Network—a group of camps worldwide established by legendary actor and philanthropist Paul Newman.
After studying Fine Art Photography at the Savannah College of Art and Design, Amy founded and ran one of the premier upscale wedding and event photography studios in Columbus.
Known for her ability to tell authentic, inspiring stories through photos, Amy produced work for individuals, creative agencies, nonprofits and more.
Driven by soulful narrative and passionate about forging emotional connections, Amy emerges as a talented brand strategist and compelling storyteller, capable of eliciting authentic emotion and driving audiences to action.
