MY APPROACH TO BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS is coming with an attitude of empathy. I want to understand how I can help. What are they looking for that I can offer? Approaching relationships from the other’s needs – that’s how meaningful partnerships are created.

BIOGRAPHY

JULIE DAUBENMIRE, Account Group Director

Julie took a nontraditional path to the PR agency world – spending more than 10 years in government and nonprofit groups. Perhaps that’s why she has cultivated a niche leading nonprofits, social enterprise, and mission-focused clients. It’s in her nature, personally and professionally, to be drawn to people and organizations working to make the world a better place.

As Account Group Director, Julie oversees the Approach portfolio of nonprofits, associations, and mission-centric brands and companies. She joined Approach in 2016 and in that time has worked with a range of clients, including startups to large companies in both B2B and B2C industry categories.

Skilled in both designing big-picture, holistic PR strategy and executing the tactics, Julie specializes in media relations, influencer campaigns, thought leadership, copywriting, crisis communication, and more.

She has secured placements in national media including TODAY, Entrepreneur, Martha Stewart Living, and USA Today, plus industry trade publications and local print, radio, and TV outlets in major metro areas across the country.

Prior to joining Approach, Julie served as a communication specialist for the education nonprofit Battelle for Kids. She also worked in various media, speechwriting, and communications roles for the Ohio Department of Education and Public Utilities Commission of Ohio.

Julie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from the University of Dayton and a Master’s in Public Administration from Ohio University.
