Account Executive, Approach Marketing
Julie Daubenmire is a marketing and communications specialist. She joined Approach Marketing in 2016 following a 6-year stint at Battelle for Kids, where she's served as a Senior Communications Specialist.
At Approach Marketing, Julie specializes in marketing and communications strategy, content development and account management.
At Battelle for Kids, Julie led client engagement and work around communications, marketing and branding for clients including the Vermont Agency of Education, Fulton County School District (Atlanta, GA), and Salt River Schools (Scottsdale, AZ), and the Tennessee Rural Education Association. Julie has worked in partnership with the Ohio Department of Education to support statewide communications efforts on priority areas including the Third Grade Reading Guarantee. Julie previously provided communications support to the 27-member Ohio Appalachian Collaborative, including planning events for state and local government officials as well as members of the media, resulting in positive media coverage throughout the region.
Julie joined Battelle for Kids in 2010, bringing with her more than six years of experience with strategic communications in state government agencies. Prior to joining Battelle for Kids, Julie served as Assistant Press Secretary for the Ohio Department of Education, where she helped manage media relations, developed strategic communications plans for Ohio education initiatives, led speechwriting efforts for the State Superintendent and other senior-level staff, and provided communications support for Ohio’s 19-member State Board of Education.
Julie graduated from the University of Dayton where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Public Relations. In 2010, she earned a Masters of Public Administration from Ohio University.
